This is a message from Sevier County EMA. The NWS has issued a Flood Warning for Sevier County 3 PM and the area remains under a Flood Watch through Friday. Heavy rainfall and flash flooding are concerns. Avoid low-lying areas and use caution if you must travel.
A High Wind Watch is in effect from 8 PM Thursday to 8 PM Friday. Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Travel may be hazardous, especially for high-profile vehicles.
Turn around, don't drown--never drive through flooded roadways. If you live in areas prone to flooding, remain aware of your surroundings.
