Sevier County EMA: Winter Storm Warning from 10 AM Friday to 7 AM Saturday. Snow accumulations between 2-5 inches in the foothills, with totals almost 1 foot in the mountain peaks are expected.

Travel is strongly discouraged beginning Friday AM. For those who must travel, please use caution. If you must travel and find yourself in a position where you cannot continue driving, please attempt to move to the shoulder/off the roadway to allow room for emergency personnel to respond to calls.

-Prepare food/supplies for power outages/road closures
-Charge electronics
-Monitor weather updates

SevierCo EMA: Winter Storm Warning until 7 AM Saturday.

The County has received significant snow over the day, resulting in hazardous travel conditions. As the sun goes down, roads will likely freeze.

Residents/visitors are advised to stay off roads until it is safe. If you must drive, exercise extreme caution.

If you encounter difficult driving conditions, safely pull over to the shoulder & off the main roadway. This allows emergency personnel to respond to calls & the road crews to treat roadways.

Snow & a wintry mix of ice are expected through the night.
